Mid-Level

Associate Designer

Orange Element is seeking a talented, energetic, and self-motivated designer will ideate, develop and execute digital and print creative. This person will work and collaborate with our team to bring brands and creative campaigns to life across a wide range of industries from non-profit to health care to consumer product. This person should be well-versed in both the digital and print space, able to adapt to clients’ needs and deliver cross-channel solutions that keep pace with our changing industry. We are excited to add another passionate, creative person to the team to help deliver high-level work for our clients.

Responsibilities

Designer must:

  • Work in multiple disciplines including print and environmental with a focus on digital.
  • Work in multiple industries—financial, higher ed, non-profit, consumer, business services
  • Develop, refine, and execute all aspects of chosen design concepts while maintaining brand standards.
  • Design and maintain digital content for websites; translate creative into a digital environment that ensures a cohesive image across all platforms.
  • Ensure all aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web/mobile standards.
  • Support directors with design and execution of all branding, marketing and advertising needs.
  • Participate in planning and execute design of email and social campaigns.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio of design work that demonstrates problem solving skills and attention to detail as well as excellent color, and typographic skills.
  • Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Implement best practices for creating optimized, responsive and mobile design.
  • Create designs that impact user engagement and website conversions.
  • An understanding of customer perspective and ability to strive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong work ethic, time management and personal accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to take direction and provide multiple on-brand solutions.
  • Ability to concept design solutions with limited direction.
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and follow through.
  • Ability to think outside the box and awareness of digital trends.
  • Ability to shift from industry to industry and do the research to design solutions that are audience appropriate.

Bonus Points for:

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript.
  • UX/UI experience.
  • Video/animation experience.

Entry-Level

Motion Graphics / Video Intern

Orange Element is looking to add a motion graphics/video intern or part-time employee to our team. We're looking for passionate, innovative and creative thinkers with strong design aesthetics.

Responsibilities

  • Must have a strong ability to collaborate, understand strategic needs and direction, communicate, problem solve, create motion graphics and edit video.
  • Understand the design process, have experience with video workflow and organization, type design, and fluent working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D (optional)
  • Desire to learn, create and have fun
  • Working understanding of common CODECs and compression tools also desirable.
  • Story-telling capabilities through motion/still graphics to create well-balanced combinations of graphics, video, and audio would benefit any candidate.
  • Aesthetic sensibility and knowledge of design fundamentals are key.
