Director of Business Development

Orange Element is looking for a Director of Business Development to sell creative design, branding, and other marketing related services to prospective and existing customers. This individual must be a great communicator, who makes an effort to understand client needs, self-perception and conceptualizing into an amazing creative design. This individual will also manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, planning and will develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the services provided by Orange Element. Finally, the Director of Business Development will participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition, and negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the deal.


Client Development

  • Excellent communication skills in order to facilitate information flow among creative team and clients
  • Identify and develop profitable new business opportunities and achieving sales targets
  • Manage successful sales track record, develop new sales leads and build a database of potential clients, and ensure long-term relationship
  • Maintain and grow existing business by cross selling from Orange Element’s full-service stack
  • Interaction with C-Suite players, develop strong client relationships to enhance and increase sales potential and premiums collected
  • Keep up to-date sales records for all existing and prospective accounts in CRM
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills, preparing detailed and professional written proposals and quotations where applicable;
  • Proficient in using CRM and Productivity tools (Word Processor, Spreadsheet and Presentation products)


Operational Effectiveness

  • Complete accurate and timely sales administration records using CRM system to define and keep track of opportunity from start to hand off to post sales teams
  • Work with creative teams and leadership to ensure that the project details are clear and defined
  • Submit to COO all relevant reports, paperwork and update on all forward sales activity
  • Work with all team members to ensure high customer satisfaction from Presale to Post sales
  • Comply with company policy and procedures and any additional responsibilities as required from time to time

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience, field sales experience including selling services
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Strong experience in sales with large and medium sized strategic clients
  • Ability to travel, domestically, during the work week >50% travel may be needed

Digital Strategist

Orange Element is looking for a Digital Strategist in Baltimore, MD. Orange Element is seeking analytical, self-starter who will be responsible for the successful management of digital strategy for our clients’ brands. This individual must be willing to work across all industries, do the necessary research to understand client business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape to deliver effective marketing recommendations. This person will be responsible for achieving the client’s strategic brand and business objectives and working with the internal team to achieve execution of strategies. This candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions.


  • Develop unique strategies and build upon current client strategies to meet objectives
  • Conduct thorough research
  • Create targeted campaigns that drive engagement and leads
  • Execute projects to be high quality, on time and on budget
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Identify clients’ buyer personas, map customer journeys, establish key success metrics and ensure all marketing activities alight with the broader business goals.
  • Work with project managers to ensure team is aligned with client requirements
  • Provide campaign performance reporting and analysis to clients

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in digital marketing or advertising
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth with client partners
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with design team
  • Google Analytics, AdWords and HubSpot Certified
  • Buffer, Hootsuite or Sprout Social proficient
