Work Smarter Poster Series  |  Orange Element

Each year Orange Element develops a motto or theme which we hold to throughout the year. In 2011, we teamed up with our friends at Baltimore Print Studios to expand upon that year’s theme, "Work Smarter." The task was to create a dynamic, yet simple, statement to inspire others and ourselves to think about work differently. We wanted to create something that was useful, fun, and required getting our hands dirty.

What better vehicle for the task than a poster? Or six of them in this case. The color flood backgrounds were silk-screened and the overlay text was set in wood type on a Vandercook letterpress. As a team, Orange Element handset the wooden type and printed the callout text per poster to complete the full set. French Paper and FPO liked them so much they featured us on their blogs.
