As a kid I remember asking my mom why the lettering on the front of an ambulance was backward. Perhaps the sign of an early graphic designer, but it definitely sparked an affinity for vehicle signage. With the recent news of Baltimore area fire station closures and job relocations, I've been thinking about the art form of truck lettering.
