Today marks the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall—uniting East and West Germany for the first time since 1961. Do you remember where you were?

Below are several images of what has become know as The Berlin Wall East Side Gallery. It is a stretch of the wall near the center of Berlin where around 100 artists from all over the world have contributed. The memorial to the past, future and ideas of freedom form a political palette of creativity. According to the gallery's website, it is the largest open air gallery in the world.
